Emanat (Slovenia)
Founded in Ljubljana in 2006, Emanat – Institute for the Affirmation and Development of Dance and Contemporary Art is an internationally recognised organisation dedicated to contemporary performing arts, artistic research and cultural innovation. Co-founded and artistically led by Maja Delak, one of Slovenia's leading contemporary choreographers and directors, Emanat has become an important platform for artistic experimentation, critical reflection and international collaboration.
The organisation operates in three core areas: performing arts production, education and publishing, with a particular focus on contemporary dance, theatre, music and intermedia arts. Emanat produces and supports the work of internationally recognised and emerging artists, including Matija Ferlin, Maja Delak, Luka Prinčič, Jan Rozman, Marijs Boulogne and Irena Z. Tomažin, while continuously fostering new artistic voices and interdisciplinary artistic practices.
For almost two decades, Emanat has served as a meeting point for choreographic practices, artistic research and knowledge exchange, connecting artists, producers, researchers and audiences through innovative contemporary performing arts. Through its long-standing AGON programme, the organisation promotes lifelong learning, artistic research and professional development, creating opportunities for collaboration, critical reflection and international networking.
As the coordinator of the Brave Creative Producers project, Emanat leads WP1 – Project Management, Quality Assurance and Coordination, ensuring the overall coordination of the consortium, project management, quality assurance and successful implementation of all project activities. Emanat also leads WP3 – Notating Practices and the Producer's Inventory, contributing its expertise in sustainable production methods, open-source technologies and digital knowledge sharing through the development of the project's online platform.
Within Brave Creative Producers, Emanat hosts one of the project's Case Studies, offering emerging creative producers hands-on experience in contemporary performing arts production while sharing its expertise in collaborative working methods, sustainable cultural production and socially engaged artistic practices.
Kulturanova (Serbia)
Kulturanova Association is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation based in Novi Sad, Serbia. Founded in 2001, we have grown from a network of informal arts groups into one of the leading civil society organisations working in the field of culture in the region.
Based in Novi Sad, we work locally, nationally, and internationally, connecting young people, artists, cultural professionals, and institutions through projects that promote creativity, collaboration, and social engagement.
Our mission is to support young people and cultural professionals, encourage creativity, and create opportunities for dialogue across communities.
We are committed to intercultural dialogue, peacebuilding, equality, and active citizenship. Through more than 100 successfully implemented projects, we combine arts, research, and social innovation to address social challenges and create space for underrepresented voices, including migrants, Roma communities, LGBTQ+ people, and people with disabilities.
Our work is organised around four strategic programme areas:
- Teatarnova focuses on theatre and performance, with a particular emphasis on inclusive theatre and socially engaged artistic practices.
- Muzikanova supports emerging musicians through education, networking, and professional development.
- Medianova develops audiovisual and media projects that encourage critical thinking and meaningful public dialogue.
- Futuranova explores cultural innovation, research, and new approaches to strengthening the creative and cultural sectors.
Over the years, Kulturanova has developed festivals that have become important platforms for artistic exchange and public dialogue.
TAKT Festival is our flagship multidisciplinary event. Now in its fourteenth edition, it has evolved from a music festival into an international platform bringing together theatre, film, music, and contemporary artistic practices.
The Reconciliation Festival creates opportunities for young people from across the Western Balkans to explore themes of peacebuilding, reconciliation, and shared futures through artistic and participatory formats.
Kulturanova is powered by a multidisciplinary team of cultural managers, producers, journalists, youth workers, project coordinators, and financial professionals who share a commitment to culture as a driver of social change.
The organisation is led by Milan Vračar, President and Producer, Jelena Božić, Programme Manager and Director of TAKT Festival, and Radmila Vračar, Financial Manager. They are supported by an experienced team that includes Zoran Milošević, Milica Živanović, Vukašin Živaljević, and other collaborators who contribute to the development and implementation of our programmes and international partnerships.
Kulturanova is a founding member of OPENS (Youth Capital of Europe Novi Sad) and an active member of several European cultural networks, including ENCC (European Network of Cultural Centres) and IETM (International Network for Contemporary Performing Arts).
Through these partnerships, we contribute to international cooperation, advocate for the role of culture in society, and help ensure that the voices of artists, cultural professionals, and young people are represented in policy and decision-making processes at the local, national, and European levels.
Instável – Centro Coreográfico (Portugal)
Founded in 1999 by Ana Figueira, Instável – Centro Coreográfico is a contemporary dance organisation based in Porto, Portugal. The organisation initially became known through its production model, in which each year a guest choreographer, a group of performers selected through auditions and a new creation came together in a renewed cycle of creation and touring.
Since 2012, when Instável moved to Teatro do Campo Alegre, now part of Teatro Municipal do Porto, its activity has expanded to include artistic residencies, training and professional development, as well as support for choreographers and performers. With the support of Teatro Municipal do Porto and the Portuguese Ministry of Culture, Instável has established itself as an important centre for contemporary dance in Porto and the Northern Region of Portugal.
Instável works across artistic creation, training, artistic research, support for creators and performers, and audience development. Its programmes create opportunities for emerging and established artists to experiment, develop their practices and build professional networks, with collaboration and knowledge exchange at the centre of its work.
Through its activities, Instável aims to strengthen the contemporary dance ecosystem in Portugal, particularly by supporting new choreographic voices and creating spaces for artistic experimentation, learning and professional development.
Within Brave Creative Producers, Instável hosts one of the project's Case Studies and provides the two selected participants with hands-on experience in artistic production through their integration into the organisation's production processes. Instável also provides local mentoring throughout the programme, coordinates the Online Production Course, and leads the international workshop in Portugal. Through its participation in the project, Instável contributes its experience in artistic production, professional development and support for emerging choreographers and producers, while supporting participants in developing critical and reflective approaches to contemporary performing arts production.
